indialt.in (IndiAlt) is a public discovery platform for homegrown products and services. It includes a product directory, product submissions and claims, user accounts and public profiles, community Q&A, reviews, and related features. By using IndiAlt, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Account & authentication

• Email address
• Optional password (if you set one)
• Sign-in via email OTP, or OAuth providers such as Google, GitHub, or Zoho when enabled (we receive your email, name, and provider account identifiers)
• Session information stored in a secure authentication cookie

Public profile

• Display name, username, avatar, cover image, bio, designation, company, website, location, skills, interests, and social links
• Email visibility preference (Public, Members only, or Private) and other profile visibility settings you choose

Product submissions & claims

• Product name, description, category, tags, website URL, and logo
• Indigenous ownership indicator and optional foreign alternatives
• Submitter and owner contact details (email, and optionally name or phone) for verification and edit access — these contact details are not shown publicly on product pages
• Claim evidence and related verification data
• Optional product media (images or videos) and owner update content

Community, reviews & engagement

• Community questions, answers, replies, votes, reports, @mentions, and uploaded media
• Product reviews, ratings, votes, and owner replies
• Search queries used to improve discovery (not sold as personal profiles)

Contact, newsletter & preferences

• Name, email, optional phone, and message when you contact us
• Email address if you subscribe to our newsletter
• Notification preferences (for example, review or community emails)

Technical & usage data

• Cookies and similar technologies, including session cookies and analytics (see Cookies & Analytics)
• Limited browser storage for drafts, temporary verification state, or dismissed UI (such as announcements)

• Operate the directory, accounts, dashboard, community, and related features
• Display public product listings and published profile information
• Verify ownership or control of products and process claims or edits
• Send transactional emails (OTP, approval, rejection, edit access) and optional notifications you enable
• Store incomplete submission details so you can finish later after email verification
• Moderate content, prevent spam and misuse, and improve platform quality
• Respond to contact and support requests; send newsletter emails if you subscribe
• Understand aggregate usage via analytics to improve performance and experience

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

• Product listing details you publish (or that we publish as public directory data) are visible to everyone
• Contact emails collected for product verification or claims are not shown on product pages
• If you publish a public profile, the fields you choose to share (including email if set to Public) can appear at your public profile URL
• Community posts, answers, reviews, votes, and related author display information are publicly visible according to how those features work

• Product updates and ownership claims require verification (typically via email OTP and/or signing in with the associated email)
• Owners manage listings from their dashboard; claims and material changes are reviewed before edit access or updates go live
• We may reject submissions or claims that appear spammy, misleading, or unauthorized

IndiAlt is not responsible for unauthorized access caused by compromised email or third-party accounts.

• You confirm you have the right to submit or claim products and that information you provide is accurate and not misleading
• Content must not violate applicable laws, intellectual property rights, or others' privacy
• Community and review content should be respectful and relevant; we may remove spam, abuse, or unlawful material
• IndiAlt may remove or modify listings, profiles, or community content that is fake, misleading, abusive, or otherwise harmful, and may reject submissions without prior notice

• We use a secure session cookie to keep you signed in after authentication
• We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and usage patterns and improve the site
• We may use other basic cookies or similar technologies for performance and reliability

Analytics is used for product improvement, not to sell personal profiles. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect sign-in and some features.

• Our platform is powered by backend services that store and process account, product, community, and related data on our behalf
• Sign-in with Google, GitHub, or Zoho is subject to those providers' privacy policies
• Google Analytics is provided by Google under its own terms and policies
• Product listings and profiles may include links to external websites; we are not responsible for their privacy practices or content

• Product data is retained while a listing is active
• Account, profile, community, and review data is retained while your account or content remains on the platform
• Contact and verification emails are retained as needed for communication, security, and operations
• You can update profile visibility, notification preferences, and most profile fields from your dashboard
• You may request product removal, account deletion, or other privacy-related help by contacting us
